Age Action is Ireland’s leading organisation for older people.
They have worked since 1992 to create change in Ireland by building an inclusive and age-positive society. They make their vision a reality through advocacy, DIY services in people’s homes and education.
Their mission is to lead the fight in challenging ageism, promoting everyone’s agency in older age and finding solutions to the disadvantages we face as we grow older.
As a values-based organisation, Age Action is committed to maintaining the highest standards of governance, accountability and transparency. As such, the Board has adopted codes of best practice which go beyond the minimum legal requirements in order to ensure the highest level of transparency and accountability.
Age Action is a registered charity with the Charities Regulator, and its Registered Charity Number (RCN) is 20027254. Age Action complies with the requirements and guidelines as set out by the Charities Regulator.
